DON'T
LET THE HARVEST
PASS YOU BY!
Saddest of all
sorrows and
regrets in the human language is the lamentation, "What might
have been," and "if only." Jeremiah, the weeping Seer, with
prophetic eye, looked down the corridors of time to our day and
predicted the very words God's professed people would utter after they
realized the terrible fate they had brought upon themselves: "The
harvest is past, the summer is ended and the fruit-gathering over, yet
we are not saved!" Jer. 8:20. Amplified. This terror filled
announcement is the ominous admission of the foolish virgins (tares)
who have just come to the final, awful and irrevocable realization that
they have closed their own probation and are now left alone, outside
the kingdom. It is no doubt the outpouring of the "wrath of God" (when
He lets the four winds go and the plagues begin, Rev. 7) that will
cause everyone who has not been fully aware of what is going on, to
wake up with a start. This event will mark the end of this final period
of time before the millennium (1,000 year period) begins. In the next
two verses Jeremiah explains why there was no "balm" (healing) in
Gilead. "Because Zion no longer had the presence of the Great
Physician!" Ex. 15:26. When the Roman soldiers finally
stormed the temple in A.D. 70, Titus, the Roman General, commanded them
to save the temple. But his commands were disregarded. "In
their fury the soldiers hurled blazing brands into the chambers
adjoining the temple, and then with their swords they slaughtered in
great numbers those who had found shelter there. Blood flowed down the
temple steps like water. Thousands upon thousands of Jews perished.
Above the sound of battle, voices were heard shouting: "Ichabod!---the
glory is departed." GC 33. Throughout their sad history, the
Jewish nation pushed Jesus out with their rebellion and hatred over and
over again, just as many are doing today. "The Jews had
forged their own fetters; they had filled for themselves the cup of
vengeance...in all the woes that followed them in their dispersion,
they were but reaping the harvest which their own hands had sown. Says
the prophet: 'O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself.;' 'for thou has
fallen by thine iniquity.' Hosea 13:9; 14:1. Their sufferings are often
represented as a punishment visited upon them by the direct decree of
God. It is thus that the great deceiver seeks to conceal his own work."
Great Controversy, Page 35.
The history of
ancient
Israel is for us today. It is our privilege to succeed where they
failed. But how can we do that? you
ask. By accepting the truth they rejected. And what might that be? The
truth about His true character. This is what we must study, learn, know
and accept before our foreheads can be sealed with the seal of the
living God, Rev. 7 and 14. Those who pray for the additional oil or
extra anointing of the Holy Spirit will be given this knowledge and
understanding. About 1987, a young mother in Chicago, struggling to
make a living for her two young girls, was also struggling for a
greater revelation of truth regarding God and His plan for her life. As
she told me the story, in 1993, she said that she decided to become
very dramatic about her own personal quest for an epiphany (an
experience with God in which He speaks something like God spoke to
Moses at the burning bush). She said that she climbed up on a chair, in
her small apartment kitchen, looked up at the ceiling and called out: Ok,
God! I'm on the mountain, like Moses. Show me your glory.
She paused for a
moment,
as she remembered what she calls "the magic moment or miracle" God gave
to her. I have heard many similar stories from other people through the
years, so had no reason to doubt her sanity or sincerity. She said,
that suddenly, time seemed to stand still. But only for a moment. Then,
everything began to move in slow motion. The first thing that happened
was a divine hand slowly turned her head, instructing her to look at a
religious newspaper she had been receiving in the mail for a few
months. She had been told at her church to not read the paper but to
throw it out with the garbage. So, that was what she had been doing.
The name of the paper was "GOD'S LAST CALL." But
now her eyes were directed toward this same paper lying upside down on
her kitchen paper. She hadn't had a chance to put it in the garbage
yet. On the back of this paper was an offer to order two books. It also
stated that if you didn't have the money you could send for them free
of charge. Then a voice in her mind told her to order those two books.
So, she got down from the chair, addressed an envelope and wrote a
quick note asking for the books.
About two weeks
later a
package came and she quickly tore it open and found the books she said
the Lord had told her to order. The first one she decided to read was
entitled, "INTO THE FATHER'S HEART." The second
was, "THE WONDERFUL TRUTH ABOUT OUR HEAVENLY FATHER." She
said it took her a full year to read the first one because she stopped
often to look up many of the texts, without reading any further, until
she felt she fully understood what each Scripture meant. She wasn't
taking my word for it. By the time she had finished, she had accepted
the character of God message.
This young woman
was about
30 years old at the time. She was not a slow reader or a dumb person.
In fact, she is a highly intelligent person. At the time this happened,
she was working as a secretary for two lawyers down town Chicago. But
she went on a quest for truth and took the time to fully investigate
it. And that's what it takes, my friend. You have to turn off your
favorite TV program or get up a little earlier, etc. But, oh how rarely
this happens in this fast paced world. Very few are willing to make the
sacrifice it takes to get close to God.
When Jesus came
to this
dark world and began His ministry He had such high hopes that His own
people would accept Him. But the Bible tells us that "He came
unto His own and His own received Him not." John 1:11. Yet,
He refused to give up searching for sincere souls who would receive
Him. "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: Which
were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will
of man, but of God." V. 12. The word NAME
there is referring to His TRUE CHARACTER OF LOVE.
After three and
half years
of seeking out all who would receive Him Jesus made His final entrance
into His beloved city, Jerusalem, riding on the "foal of an
ass." He was fulfilling Zech. 9:9. Everyone, especially His
disciples, were all excited, because they believed that He was about to
take the throne of David and set up His kingdom. As the crowd, singing
and dancing, came to the brow of the hill, Jesus stopped, pausing to
take in the beautiful scene below of Zion, the "City of Peace," which
is what, Jeru (city) Salem or Shalom (peace) means in the Hebrew.
"Never before had the world seen such a triumphal procession." DA 572. On
the next page the author describes in vivid detail the earthly beauty
of Jerusalem at that time. Even Rome was proud of it since the emperor
himself had helped rebuild and embellish it making it one of the
wonders of the world.
Suddenly, right
in the
middle of this celebration all eyes are turned toward the Saviour
expecting Him to join with them in this glad moment of admiration for
their beloved capital. "But instead of this they behold a
cloud of sorrow. They are surprised and disappointed to see His eyes
fill with tears, and His body rock to and fro like a tree before the
tempest, while a wail of anguish bursts from His quivering lips, as if
from the depths of a broken heart. What a sight was this for angels to
behold! their loved Commander in an agony of tears!...The multitude
were struck with a sudden gloom. Their acclamations were silenced. Many
wept in sympathy with a grief they could not comprehend." DA 575, 576.
Jesus' tears of
sorrow
were not for the suffering He was about to endure for an unbelieving
world and an ungrateful nation who were about to crucify Him. He saw
the sheepgate for sacrificial offerings through which He would soon pass
and near by was Mt. Calvary, where He would soon
be hung
upon a Roman cross. But these personal horrors were not the source of
His terrible grief and anguish of spirit. "His was no selfish
sorrow. The thought of His own agony did not intimidate that noble,
self-sacrificing soul. It was the sight of Jerusalem that pierced the
heart of Jesus---Jerusalem that had rejected the Son of God and scorned
His love, that refused to be convinced by His mighty miracles, and was
about to take His life. He saw what she was in her guilt of rejecting
her Redeemer, and what she might have been had she accepted Him who
alone could heal her wound. He had come to save her; how could He give
her up?...Jesus raised His hand,---that had so often blessed the sick
and suffering,---and waving it toward the doomed city, in broken
utterances of grief exclaimed: 'If thou hadst known, even thou, at
least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace!---' Here
the Saviour paused, and left unsaid what might have been the condition
of Jerusalem had she accepted the help that God desired to give
her,---the gift of His beloved Son..."
As the bright
picture of
the prophetic vision of what might have been faded from His sight our
Lord realized the condition she was in and the total destruction that
would be coming upon her, beginning in the fall of 66 AD, about 33
years into the future. "Well might the Saviour weep in agony
in view of that fearful scene. Jerusalem had been the child of His
care...How can I give thee up?...When the fast westering sun should
pass from sight in the heavens, Jerusalem's day of grace would be
ended. While the procession was halting on the brow of Olivet, it was
not yet too late for Jerusalem to repent. The angel of mercy was then
folding her (notice EGW refers to this angel in feminine)
wings to step down from the golden throne to give place to justice and
swift-coming judgment. But Christ's great heart of love still pleaded
for Jerusalem...would not some good angel lead her to the Saviour's
love, and avert her doom?"
Now, beloved,
for those of
you who know the parallels between Israel then and her counterpart
today, you know that Modern Israel is God's professed, SDA people. And
if you know that much, you should also know that EGW stated more than
once that since about 1868, SDAs have been repeating the history of
Israel step by step. If you know these things and have been weeping
between the porch and the altar, you know how Jesus felt as He wept
over Jerusalem.
If you have not
been
weeping, but have the inclination to do so, given the whole history and
picture of the situation, then, hopefully your mind will be open as to
how to escape the fate that awaits the foolish virgins. Read the last
chapter of "Christ's Object Lessons," entitled, "THE COMING OF THE
BRIDEGROOM." That will help you to understand why the five foolish
virgins don't have enough oil and why they will be lost. Some of this
has been covered in former articles, but bears repeating. In Matt. 13
Jesus told the parable of the wheat and the tares in which He said the
wheat were the children of the kingdom and the tares belonged to Satan.
So, there you have the five wise and five foolish virgins connected
with the time of harvest which Jesus used to illustrate His return and
the end of the world (age). This study is to give you the
information you need so the harvest will not pass you by.
The time of the
harvest
was progressive and in stages. It didn't happen all at once. This is
one of the fallacies of the Christian church today, including SDAs,
regarding the second coming of Christ. They, like the Jewish nation in
Jesus' day had a false concept about His first coming. Why? Because
they had not studied the prophecies under the direction of the Holy
Spirit. Their minds were not open to the real truth regarding the
manner of the coming of the Christ the first time. The Messiah's coming
was to take place step by step, not all at once. The same is true
today. You have probably never heard this before. Can you see how grave
and serious the situation really is? Let me illustrate it like this.
Suppose a bride
to be, has
a fiancee, who is stationed overseas in the military, and will be
arriving on the day of the wedding. Let's call her Monica. She doesn't
know the exact time of his arrival. Nor does he tell her the airlines
or the flight plan or number. The wedding is at 4:00 P.M., the same
day, Sunday. She is so excited and begins to prepare everything for
this grand event which will take place on Sunday, April 10th. It is now
Jan. 10. She has three months to get ready. They correspond about two
times a week and talk by phone every Sunday. But they don't talk about
the exact time of His coming. Monica assumes his flight will arrive
early Sunday morning. But she gets so busy at her job and with all the
arrangements, etc. that time just flies. She doesn't even have time to
write as much and the phone calls become less frequent "to save time
and money." Anyway, they are going to be together for the rest of their
lives. About a month before the wedding she
receives a letter with exact instructions regarding which airline he
will be on, and the time of his arrival, etc. She scanned it quickly,
looking for the usual romantic sentiments. The letter seemed to be of a
more serious nature this time. She didn't find as many of the usual
compliments about her personality and great beauty nor the usually
romantic sentiments she loved so much. His words seemed to her to have
a tinge of strictness as he seemed to be directing and instructing her
as to what she should do. Honey, please read these
instructions carefully. They are very important. Read this letter
several times until you understand and know the time of my arrival by
heart. Her reaction was, He's treating me like a
child, as if I'm stupid or don't know anything. He must be a very
controlling person.
She decided to
read the
letter more carefully later on, and then put it in a desk drawer with
some bills, instead of the regular place she usually put his letters.
Her schedule was more frantic than ever with all the preparations for
the wedding. The next time he called he asked if she had read his
letter. She assured him that she had and told him not to worry about it
because she was a very mature and responsible person. Just
take care of everything on your end and I will take care of everything
here. Ok? Ok! Later. Bye.
Well, time
seemed to fly
and soon there was only a week left before the wedding. She is busier
than ever and exhausted. Some of the people who were supposed to help
her got sick and another had an out of town emergency. The couple who
were going to sing a special song, canceled, because of a schedule
conflict. She becomes frantic trying to get new singers and others to
help. Friday night, at 3:00 A.M. Monica awakens with a start. Suddenly,
she realizes she doesn't know the time of her beloved's arrival or even
what airline or airport to go to. She jumps out of bed and goes to her
desk to look for the letter, but can't find it. Then she remembers that
she put it in the bill drawer. But it isn't there. Oh, no!
she screams. Then she recalls when she paid the
bills she
cleaned out the drawer. Maybe she threw out the letter by mistake with
some old bills, she muses nervously, biting her lip and wringing her
hands at the same time. She already feels the headache coming on.
She doesn't
sleep all
night worrying and looking everywhere for that letter with the exact
instructions of when her husband to be will arrive. The next day she
tries to call him but finds out that he has already left the base for
the airport. He's stationed in Germany but she doesn't know the name of
the airport to find out the time of his departure and arrival in the
city near where she lives. There are several airlines and she cannot
remember which one he said he would be arriving on. There are still
last minute preparations to be made for the wedding. She calls an
ex-boy friend and asks him if he will start calling the various
airlines to find out which flight her beloved fiancee, Michael, will
arrive on. He says that he will try. He explains that he is very busy
with his own schedule, but will see what he can do. She calls one or
two other friends and they tell her they will see what they can do and
get back with her. They are surprised at what is happening and suggest
that maybe he changed his mind. Why didn't he call her to confirm, so
she wouldn't worry? This begins to plant doubts in her mind. Is she
really doing the right thing? Can this man really be trusted?
Can I depend upon his word? Why hasn't he contacted me?
The fact of the
matter is,
Michael did call several times but always got a busy signal or she
wasn't home. Of course, she never hears back from any of her friends or
her ex-boy friend. She is getting more frustrated by the minute. All of
her family and friends are expecting a nice wedding. Her father has
already invested a lot of money in this wedding and on the
announcements. In her mind she begins to blame her beloved. He
should have called to confirm and written another letter. How could he
treat me this way? This is all his fault!
Meanwhile,
Michael is very
happy and looking forward to seeing his bride to be the next day. You
see, in his letter he explained that he would arrive by plane and catch
a bus to her town so she wouldn't have to worry about coming to the
airport and fighting all the traffic. He said he had arranged for a
friend of his to pick him up at the bus station and take him directly
to the church about three hours before the wedding. He said he would
also give her a call when he got in town to make sure everything was ok
and if she needed him for anything or needed to be at the church
earlier to talk to the pastor. But, Monica didn't have time to read the
whole letter and forgot to put it in the right place so she could refer
to it again and make sure she knew the time of his arrival.
Well, what do
you think
happened? By the time her beloved did arrive in town and gave her a
call she was so angry and upset that she began screaming at him. Where
have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you. Why didn't you
write or call? Michael is shocked? He cannot believe she is talking to
him this way. Monica is crying hysterically now about how her whole
life is ruined and nothing is turning out right. How could he do this
to her? She tells Michael that she already called the pastor and told
him she wasn't ready and to cancel the wedding. She then just hangs up
and falls on the bed sobbing. Michael tries to call her back but the
phone is off the hook. He needs to know her exact address, as she moved
recently. All he has is a box number, although her phone number is
still the same. He continues trying the same number over and over again
but the phone remains off the hook all day. He tries contacting her
parents but they don't want anything to do with him now that he has
broken their daughter's heart. There is nothing left for him to do but
return to Germany where he had hoped to take his new bride for their
honeymoon. He has a strict schedule He has to keep because of the
military. His heart is broken.
This little
parable the
Lord gave to me illustrates Jesus' dilemma with His bride, the church.
The foolish virgins are like Monica. They have not studied Jesus'
letters carefully to understand the time of His coming. They blame Him
instead of praising His Name. Nor have they prayed for the extra oil of
the Holy Spirit to understand the prophecies and especially His true
character.
Let's study
Jesus' first
coming in stages. First, the forerunner was to be born. That was John
the Baptist. Secondly, the Messiah Himself would be born six months
later, as a literal baby in Bethlehem, and grow up in obscurity. Jewish
theology had no place for John the Baptist. They were not expecting
him. It was not part of their eschatology. As Jesus told them later, "You
don't know the Scriptures nor the power of God." The same
was true when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Micah 5:2 predicted it,
which even the Scribes quoted to Herod at the time of the Wise Men's
visit. Yet, they did not pay any more attention to it. Six months
before the Messiah's initial appearance His herald would appear to
"pave the way" for His coming. This was the work of John the Baptist,
who began preaching at the Jordan river six months before Jesus came to
be baptized at age 30. Then He fasted forty days, after which He began
His ministry, which lasted three and half years.
Let's take a
look at the
grains harvested in Palestine which coordinated with the three sacred
feasts of the nation. These feasts commemorated important events in
their history, such as the Passover, which commemorated their
deliverance from Egyptian bondage. Exodus 14. The first grain offering
was barley, which was generally ripe for harvest in the early part of
April. The harvesting of the barley crop was preceded by the offering
of the wave sheaf (Lev. 23:10, 11) on the 16th of Nisan. 2 Sam. 21:9.
The Barley harvest was closely followed by the wheat harvest (Ruth
2:23), which was spread over several weeks, beginning early in the
lowlands but ending about June or July in the uplands. The last was the
grape harvest.
Let's look now
at the
"wave-sheaf" first of all and define it. The word "sheaf" simply means
"a bundle or clump. In harvest time it means: "a bunch of cut stalks of
grain, etc. bound up in a bundle." In different
parts of the USA and world farmers cut or harvest their hay, for
example, in different ways. Some bind them into bales with a machine
called a baler. Others roll them into large rolls. Before the barley
harvest began, the high priest would take a walk through the field (2
Chron. 16:9 tells us God's eyes run throughout the earth to find those
whose hearts are perfect toward Him so He can bless them) and pluck up
or choose sample(s) for a mini-harvest, as it were, representative of
what was soon to come. This sample was called the wave sheaf which He
would "wave (present) before the Lord." In I Cor. 5:7, Paul refers to
Christ as fulfilling this ceremony by dying on the cross. Jesus
referred to the whole world as a field ripe for the gospel harvest. The
harvest also represents a time of Judgment or decision time.
Now, isn't it
logical that
if the wave sheaf (sample) is plucked up before the Barley harvest
begins, and Jesus fulfilled that type, then the first event to occur in
our day which would begin the harvest cycle would be the plucking up or
harvesting of the Lord's chosen instruments, (who have developed His
perfect character) i.e. a wave sheaf, which He wishes to use to
complete the barley as well as the wheat harvest. This would happen in
the form of a translation of what we could call the "barley people."
EGW refers to them as "The Little Company." EW 88, 89, 270.
Dan. 12 refers to a special resurrection. This would be all the people
who died believing in the third angel's message. There would also be a
translation of the living, at this same time, who would then ascend to
heaven with the risen saints to appear before the throne of God. As the
high priest, Jesus would then present them all (the wave sheaf) before
the Father's throne and the universe for their confirmation and
approval to proceed with the rest of the harvest. I also believe this
is the same time that the "Marriage supper of the Lamb"
takes place. I believe this is referred to in Dan. 7 which we will
discuss in more detail later on. I also believe this is when Rev. 11:15
and 12:10 are fulfilled. "The kingdoms of this world are
become the kingdoms of our Lord (Jesus) and His Christos (wave sheaf or
barley group with all the dead who were raised).
In Rev. 14, John
was shown
the setting up of Christ's kingdom, which is hinted at in Psalm 2,
where the Lord sets His king (anoints his anointed king or Christos) on
the holy hill of Zion. The word hill referred to here is God's holy Mt.
Zion, in its beginning stage and suggests the small, humble beginning
of His kingdom which is destined to fill the earth. In Rev. 14:1, the
144,000 are identified as having the Father's Name in their foreheads,
signifying that they have the mind and character of Christ. His
thoughts are their thoughts. His agenda is their agenda. His dreams,
goals, plans, objectives, etc. are identical with theirs. They are of
one mind...completely unified in motive and purpose. In vs. 2 and 3 is
introduced another group John identifies as "harpers." This would
include all four levels of the character of God going to universal
reconciliation. They have agreed to help Him redeem the entire human
race. DA 425, 826.
These harpers
are singing
a new song before the throne of God. Verse 3 says that only the 144,000
are able to learn that song, which by plain logic, would indicate that
they did not know this song before. The harpers are the teachers, who
are teaching the 144,000 by singing this song to them. Then the 144,000
repeat what they hear and sing it again and again until they know it by
heart. The idea of harpers harping on their harps a new song could also
refer to a new doctrine that makes music in the heart. This, I believe,
is the character of God message.
Who are these
harpers?
Their voice is said to be coming "from heaven." Using the harvest
concept the harpers would have to have been reaped or harvested before
the 144,000. First of all, the harpers are singing a song that only the
144,000 "can learn" which suggests that the harpers knew this song
first and are singing it or teaching it to the 144,000. Isn't that
logical? Furthermore, there are two grains that preceded the grape
harvest. Therefore, it is logical that the harpers would be barley and
the 144,000 would be wheat. Vs. 4 would confirm this as it states that
the 144,000 are "first fruits." So, if they are wheat they must be the
beginning or first crop or first fruits of the wheat harvest. In v. 14
John says that he "looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon
the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden
crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle." Notice that it does
not say this is "the son of man," but "one
sat like unto the Son of man." In Rev. 2:10, Jesus promised a
"crown of life" to those who were
faithful in the
church of Philadelphia. The person sitting on the cloud (representative
of the barley group) has a crown signifying they have been given
eternal life. This is not Jesus because Revelation 19:12 pictures Him
wearing many crowns, as He has always had eternal life. Another version
says: "Like a son of man," and "someone who looked like
Jesus." It was not Jesus, but someone who looked like Jesus,
which is the first group of people to be harvested, which is the
"barley group" or first "little company" or "bundle." Once they are
accepted at the Father's throne they will return to earth to harvest
others. The last part of the harvest is the "grape" harvest which will
be the gentiles. Zech. 13:8-10 indicate that one-third of the earth
will be reaped or converted and be ready when Jesus comes. But the
first phase of Christ's second coming will be when He comes to reap the
barley first and then the wheat and finally the grapes.
This golden
crown proves
that they have been given eternal life...that they did not possess it
before. The fact that they are now wearing the crown proves that they
are now immortal beings, who cannot be killed. That is why, I believe,
that the synagogue of Satan will come and bow down before them Rev. 3:9
...because they have been elevated to be the executive counsel of
planet earth and are now in charge of the affairs of planet earth. "The
kingdoms of this world are become (have become) the kingdoms of our
Lord (Jesus) and His Christos (barley & wheat)..." or Jesus'
elect who are now reigning with Him. This is why Dan. 11:44
tells us that Satan's kingdom will come to an end and that "none
will help him." So, all of Satan's angel helpers (demons)
now abandon him for they see his cause is hopeless. They are filled
with terror and go forth to destroy all the wicked who have no
protection. The various factions of Satan's government, throughout the
world, begin fighting and destroying one another, thereby collapsing
Satan's kingdom.
Remember when I
explained
in the article, "Many Are
Called But Few Are Chosen,"
that the Bible often refers to a group as one
unit. Hosea
11:1 says: "When Israel was a child I loved Him and called my
SON out of Egypt." Matt. 2:15 reinterprets this verse,
applying it to Jesus. Notice: "that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have
I called my son." This is what we call "Dual or double
application" or a "double fulfillment." In Judges 7 we also have Gideon
and his three hundred represented by one barley loaf and all 135,000 of
the enemy troops parked down in the valley, symbolized as one tent,
which was knocked flat by the barley loaf. So, to have the first wave
of saints translated to heaven referred to as "one like the
son of man" is in keeping with the way the Hebrew writers
expressed themselves. "Adam" means "mankind,"
and Eve is referred to as "the mother
of all
living." Gen. 3:20. The Greek word, "ecclesia" refers
to the church corporate or "the called out ones."
Furthermore, when God speaks of His "elect" or "Final
Remnant," which will become the "Executive Council"
for giving the final message to the earth, He refers to them as His "Jewels"
or "special Treasure." Mal. 3:16-18. Read Psalm 2
carefully, especially vs. 11, 12, because God is revealing here how
much authority He is giving to His "King," who
simply is the barley group whose numbers keep growing as the barley
harvest progresses and then continues on into the wheat harvest. These
people will be like Christ after the (special) resurrection. They will
have power to appear and disappear. They can go anywhere the Spirit
sends them, just as Phillip did in Acts 8. They could appear in front
of a church and give a testimony that would bring a revival and split
the church. Or they could appear at the United Nations General Assembly
and make an announcement or give a testimony. Whatever the Spirit tells
them to do and wherever He leads them they will obey. This will
continue for three and half years or the last half of the seven year
period. This is the army Joel speaks of in Joel 1. I urge you to study
this out on your own to prove it to yourself.
Now, let's go to
Dan. 7,
where Daniel sees in vision a judgment scene where one like the Son of
man is installed with great honor, power and glory. "I beheld
till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose
garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool:
his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A
fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him (Jesus); thousand
thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand
stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened."
Dan. 7:9, 10. Then, in Vs. 11, 12 we read of the death and
destruction of the beast power and his allies who are given to the
burning flame, presumably referring to the Lake of Fire, which we know
is not literal but a representation of the fire of God which comes down
in the form of great revelations of truth and righteousness. This truly
"burns up" the wicked, or makes them very angry and
they stew in their juices, so to speak, until they finally repent,
which they will do, absolutely, according to Phil. 2:6-11. Much more
proof is given in another article(s) on this web site. Now, let's go on with Dan.
7:13. "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the
Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of
days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him,
dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and
languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be
destroyed."
You should also
compare
Rev. 11:15 and 12:10 which speak of loud voices in heaven proclaiming
that the "kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of
our Lord and His Christ (Christos or anointed one)." This
takes place little by little over a seven year time period. This
anointed one is the same as the "man child" of Rev.
12:5 and Isa. 66:7 which is "caught up unto God, and to His
throne." Rev. 12:5. This is also the church of Philadelphia
which cannot be destroyed. Even the synagogue of Satan comes and bows
down before them. Rev. 3:9. Why? Because they find out that they cannot
kill them and realize they are God's chosen elect who have received
this power to reign and rule and bring in everlasting righteousness
under Jesus, their Lord. So, is this mind-blowing, good news or what?
Don't let the harvest pass you by, my friend. If you think it is just
too good to be true, please read what Paul said in I Cor. 2:9. "Eye
hath not seen, nor hear heard, neither have entered into the heart of
man, the things which God hath prepared for them who love Him."
